Annual access and renewal
Access is sold as a full one-year subscription beginning on the purchase date. The first 30 paid members pay an introductory price of $29.99 CAD for the first year. Their membership then renews at the regular annual price of $49.99 CAD. Members joining after the first 30 pay $49.99 CAD from the start. A 3% credit card processing fee and applicable GST/HST are added and disclosed separately at checkout. Membership automatically renews one year from the purchase date unless cancelled.
Immediate cancellation
Members may cancel at any time through their account. Cancellation is processed immediately, and automatic renewal is turned off the same day. No further renewal payment will be charged.
Access after cancellation
Cancelling does not remove access immediately. The member may continue using the library until the end of the already-paid annual term. Access ends automatically at the conclusion of that term.
Refunds
Payments for the current access term are generally non-refundable, including when a member stops using the library or cancels before the end of the annual term. This policy does not limit any cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be excluded. Where applicable law requires a refund, it will be calculated and issued as required by that law.
Automatic renewal reminder
The billing system may send members an advance renewal notice before their purchase anniversary. The notice states the renewal date, renewal price and cancellation instructions. Members do not need to wait for the reminder and may cancel earlier at any time.
Automatic self-service cancellation
Members can open Manage membership in their account and select Cancel renewal. The embedded billing system processes the cancellation immediately, turns off automatic renewal and displays and emails a confirmation. No email request or manual approval is required.
